The City of Lancaster, Economic Development, is the economic development arm of the municipality of Lancaster. The community is part of the Inland Port of Texas, surrounded by three major interstates, hosting the Union Pacific Intermodal, and a local, commercial sized airport. The community is currently heavy in industrial development. Lancaster is located approximately 15 minutes south of Downtown Dallas.
