Biography : Spencer Schobert is member of Newmark’s Global Strategy and Consulting team, a practice within the firm’s Global Corporate Services (GCS). Spencer brings two decades of experience to the Newmark team, with a comprehensive background in expansion and location strategy and experience across multiple verticals including consumer products, technology, life sciences, advanced Manufacturing, financial services, retail, shared services, and government relations. He is based in San Francisco. Spencer has worked throughout the U.S. and North America and more than 23 countries across Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Throughout his career, he has partnered with stakeholders across business functions (HR, IT, strategy, workforce planning, finance, real estate, communications, public relations, legal) to drive decisions to grow, hub, or consolidate various types of operations (e.g. Manufacturing, warehousing, office and headquarters).

Spencer has structured and delivered complex international location strategy projects, including identification of client objectives and measures, driving cross-functional consensus building, analyzing quantitative and qualitative tradeoffs, business case development, and development and presentation of recommended solutions to executive teams. Spencer has led negotiations with dozens of economic development organizations, advised on strategic planning / targeting for communities, and developed creative non-monetary and financial solutions to offset investment costs to benefit both clients and communities.

Spencer brings over two decades of experience to the Newmark team having previously helped HP Inc. to align internal corporate stakeholders to their global portfolio and footprint decisions, and prior to that over 17 years with Deloitte Consulting guiding senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies through problem identification, analysis and recommendations, creative solutioning, and driving consensus for implementation.

Spencer is a graduate of the Foster College of Business at Bradley University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
