About

The Effingham County Industrial Development Authority is a constitutional authority created by an amendment to the Georgia constitution in 1968. Our legally defined purpose is to develop and promote the public good and welfare of Effingham County, Georgia. Areas of authority include development of land, expansion and promotion of industry, issuance of industrial revenue bonds, and property tax abatements. Effingham County is part of the Savannah MSA, and the ECIDA has a full-time staff of four.
