About
The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1988 to enhance the economic base and create jobs in the coalfield region of Virginia that includes Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Tazewell and Wise counties and the City of Norton. VCEDA markets the region as Southwest Virginia’s e-Region with a focus on electronic IT, energy, education, emerging technologies and entrepreneurs.
